WHFA again providing services for retailers

Las Vegas — The Western Home Furnishings Assn.'s Retailer Resource Center again will be up and running for the July market here.
The RRC will be located in the World Market Center, space 210, and in an additional space in the Las Vegas Convention Center, space S72542, which is upstairs in the South Hall.
"During the January Vegas market, we had retailers come to the RRC every day, whether it was just to rest their feet or to hold an impromptu meeting," said Sharron Bradley, WHFA executive director. "Retailers see the value of having a place at market where they can relax and do business."
On tap at the RRC for the upcoming market are the following:

Free educational seminars: These are a highlight of the RRC. This market's schedule encompasses 27 seminars with a range of key business-based topics (see pages 30, 32).
"We have received such a strong response to our seminars from the industry that everyone wants to participate," said Bradley. "This has created a wealth of industry knowledge and information and has allowed us to provide top-of-the-line, unique and educational seminars during the market."

Industry trade show: This features an array of information, including more than 50 product and service providers who will be on hand to demonstrate the latest technologies, answer questions and offer advice on a variety of topics, ranging from sales to importing and everything in between.
The Las Vegas Convention Center space will host the RRC satellite industry trade show, with some of the industry's most noteworthy vendors and service providers. -
Lunch special: Debuting at the January market here, the $5.99 RRC gourmet lunch special was such a huge success that WHFA will again offer it to retailers. There are three seatings daily between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Reservations are required and must be made by July 20 by visiting www.WHFA.org.

Free Internet café: The RRC will offer free Internet access to retailers who need to contact their office or customers.

Free coffee/drinks bar: The RRC will provide complimentary gourmet coffee, hot and cold drinks, and fresh-baked cookies.

Special events: WHFA is planning two opportunities for retailers to have fun, mingle and relax after a day at market. The "Be Cool Party at The Ice House Lounge" is set for Monday, July 24 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. VIP passes can be picked up at the RRC in WMC's space 210. "It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere," WHFA's member appreciation party, will be held Tuesday, July 25 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at WMC, space 210.
