Industry band to play at City of Hope fundraiser Tuesday

The band Southern Chill will play at a City of Hope fundraiser Tuesday, Oct. 16, at McPherson’s Bar & Grill, 5710 High Point Road, Greensboro, N.C.
HIGH POINT — Southern Chill, a band featuring a number of members from the furniture industry, will heat things up during this month's High Point Market as they play a fundraiser for the City of Hope, the California-based medical research and treatment center.
The festivities will get under way beginning at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at McPherson's, located at 5710 High Point Road in Greensboro, N.C.
"The furniture industry does an incredible job supporting the City of Hope, which focuses on cancer and other life-threatening diseases," said Ray Allegrezza, one of the guitarists for Southern Chill and the editor-in-chief of Furniture/Today. "Playing for a great cause like this with some great fellow musicians from the industry has become one of my market highlights."
Southern Chill also features Mike Cox and Chuck Welch, both with Klaussner Furniture; Rusty Coleman, formerly with Klaussner; Earl Austin of Austin Photography, and Brian Cooper.
