Stroheim & Romann sets H.P. warehouse

High Point — Upscale fabric supplier Stroheim & Romann, based in Long Island City, N.Y., is opening a warehouse here.
The 40,000-square-foot distribution center on the city's north side is expected to employ about 40 people, according to Jerome Murray, vice president of administration.
Stroheim & Romann, operating since 1865, produces and markets high-end decorative and upholstery fabrics and trim, as well as wall covering.
The company sells exclusively to the design trade through more than 50 designer showrooms.
