Emeryville, Calif. — Textile technology provider Nano-Tex has named James Curley president, CEO and a director. He has been interim CEO since December 2005.
Chairman Wilbur Ross said Curley's 20 years of management experience in consumer products, apparel and retail gives him "the leadership necessary to continue the company's global expansion and the adoption of Nano-Tex in current and future textile categories."
Prior to joining Nano-Tex in 2005 as chief financial officer, Curley was a senior executive at toy manufacturer LeapFrog, and he also worked at juvenile retailer Gymboree and upscale furniture retailer Huffman Koos.
Nano-Tex operates throughout the United States, Asia and Europe. Currently, more than 80 textile mills use Nano-Tex treatments in products sold by such interior textile brands as Knoll Textiles, Carnegie and Kravet, as well as in many upscale apparel brands.
