Tupelo, Miss. — Jennifer Springer, a former staff designer with Lane, has been named vice president of design in a realignment of the merchandising staff at upholstery manufacturer and wood furniture importer Peop-Loungers.
"We feel very fortunate to have Jennifer on board as she will be a valuable asset for our motion upholstery plans in the immediate future," said Chairman and President James Green Jr.
Springer fills a post that had been vacant for some time.
PeopLoungers also has hired Hillary Phillips as cover coordinator, also formerly with Lane, who will work on special projects that involve market preparations and presentations for key retailers.
Lisa Goolsby will continue to be responsible for the flowing of cut-and-sewn fabrics, suede and leathers. She also works with key national accounts, where she plans product and fabric applications.
Chuck Catterton, vice president of sales, will oversee the flow of fabric as well as work with showroom designer Betty Stroupe on product presentations for furniture markets.
All report to Jerry Baker, executive vice president of marketing. The veteran PeopLoungers executive also is responsible for sales and all national accounts.
