HomElegance puts it all together in Vegas
Thomas Russell -- Furniture Today, August 29, 2005
Las Vegas — Case goods importer HomElegance partnered with several companies to dress up its Las Vegas showroom.
At the market here in late July, it showed its products with a group of accessories, linens, florals and rugs.
Dalmarko Designs provided florals and plants. There were linens from SIS Covers, rugs from Creative Concepts, pillows from Luxury Pillow and pottery from Horizons International. The items on display were available to buyers.
"We're trying to make (our showroom) a one-stop shop," said Joe Elmore, HomElegance's national marketing director. "We wanted to take full advantage of the energy and simplicity we felt this market gives the customer."
For SIS, the Las Vegas market also was its debut into top-of-bed covers. Before, it mainly marketed futon covers and pillows.
"This was a great market for us and we were so happy with the partnership," said Shari Hammer, president of SIS. "The buyers were really receptive to our product."
Dalmarko previously has done florals and preserved plants for casinos in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. Dalmarko President Dale Stansbury said he liked working with Elmore and his daughter, Melissa, who led HomElegance's partnering initiative.
"I love the product and what they put together," he said. "They have a great eye for putting everything together. They see it as it would be in a home."
