Will celebrate 50th anniversary at stores this weekend

WARREN, Mich. - Art Van Furniture is holding 50th birthday parties at all 31 of its stores this weekend.
The Top 100 company said in a release that the Oct. 24-25 parties are hosted by local radio stations that will broadcast live from certain stores and will give away prizes. Art Van will have other giveaways, too, including a Stearns & Foster queen bedding set and a Max Home sofa. Customers also can register for a chance to win a 1959 Corvette convertible.
Festivities at Art Van's Novi and Shelby Township, Mich., stores will include appearances by NBA Detroit Pistons draft pick Jonas Jerebko, who will sign autographs.
