SEMINOLE, Fla. — A woman behind a gas-voucher promotion spent more than $660,000 on herself while her business failed to deliver the free gas that was promised to consumers, the St. Petersburg Times reported.
Court records detailed the spending of Crystal Marie Clark, owner of Tidewater Marketing Global Consultants, which provided gas vouchers that retailers including some Bassett and Ashley furniture stores offered to customers as a sales incentive.
Some retailers are facing lawsuits from consumers who did not get their voucher money, the Times reported.

This is so typical of Ashley. They forced their reps to sell these gas cards and, grocery cards as well. This really helps the image of the furniture industry as it continues to plummet. Shame on Ashley
