AURORA, N.Y. — MacKenzie-Childs, maker of high-end ceramic and enamel furnishings and tableware, is donating to charity 10% of sales of its products with "pink" in the name during October, the 25th anniversary of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The money will go to the Continuum Breast Cancer Reconstruction Fund, which was created to improve access to care and patient education as well as support breast reconstruction research. The Continuum Cancer Centers of New York are based in Beth Israel Medical Center and St. Luke's and Roosevelt hospitals.
Mackenzie-Childs has more than 70 pieces with "pink" in the name, including the Pink Fish rug, Pink Honeymoon dinnerware and Pink Diva chair. Items can be bought at the company's three stores in New York City, Aurora, N.Y., and Palm Beach, Fla., and online at www.mackenzie-childs.com.
