Sekar Sundararajan leaving EVP post at Hooker Furniture
Will continue to serve as a consultant on operations
Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, October 27, 2009
MARTINSVILLE, Va. — Hooker Furniture's executive vice president of operations, Sekar Sundararajan, will leave the company but will still work with Hooker as a private consultant, the importer and manufacturer said.
He has been working with Hooker since 2007 as a consultant and joined the company in the new operations post last year.
The company said there are no immediate plans to fill the EVP position after Sundararajan leaves.
"We are very appreciative of Sekar's involvement with Hooker Furniture," said Paul Toms Jr., CEO and president. "He has helped us improve significantly in multiple operational areas. We are a better performing company due to the time he has spent with us."
