WithIt sets online marketing symposium

Jan. 13 event to take place in Greensboro, N.C.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — With online marketing growing in importance, Women in the Home Industries Today is holding its first symposium on the topic early next year.

The half-day event is set for 1 to 5 p.m. Jan. 13 at the Greensboro/High Point Marriott in Greensboro, N.C.

Emily Riley, a senior analyst with Forrester Research, will address topics including online digital behavior and marketer activity, key tools and terminology, how to create sales opportunities and how to get started.

Maggie Fox, CEO of Social Media Group, the research and implementation firm for Ford Motor Co., will discuss processes and platforms used to aggregate digital content, metrics, building staff and resources and staff, bottom-line results, expected return on investment and more.

Leslie Carothers, principal of The Kaleidoscope Partnership, a social media firm in the home furnishings industry, will moderate a panel on marketing more effectively to consumers.

"We invite our industry's top executives and their teams to join WithIt as we present a framework for shaping corporate strategy, integration and measurement of investments in fulfilling the promise of this transformative global digital infrastructure," said Liz O'Brien, president of WithIt.

The symposium fee is $100 for the first attendee from a company and $80 for each additional person from the same company. Registration is available at www.withit.org.

Sponsorships are also available and include a one-hour session with Forrester Research and corporate presenters, and dated Webinar rights to the symposium.
