Furniture sales rep John ‘Bob' Martin dies at 86
Had represented Royal Pacific Mattress Co.

HAYWARD, Calif. — John Robert "Bob" Martin, a longtime furniture and appliance sales representative in northern California, has died. He was 86.
Martin was active until about a year ago when his health declined. He represented Royal Pacific Mattress Co. and earlier had worked with companies including DPE Mfg. and James Stone Mfg. He began his career 60 years ago as an appliance rep, and sold lines including Lancaster and Motorola.
He is survived by three children, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
