Phoenix — Mountain Huang, general manager of Aspenhome (Shenzhen) Co., is the first international graduate of furniture producer Aspenhome's new employee MBA program.
Huang, who oversees the China operations, received his diploma from Lingnam College at the Sun Yat-Sen University in Guangz-hou, China, and the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
For the past two years, Huang has juggled work with taking classes on two continents.
"It has been a very hard two years for me and I am really grateful today that I have gone through this EMBA program," Huang wrote in a letter to Aspenhome. "With all the help and support from all you folks in Aspen Furniture in Phoenix, I finally got this done successfully."
He also praised his colleagues on the Aspen China team for "doing great jobs" and letting him focus on school.
