FBI appoints Hanly senior brand manager

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, November 2, 2009

Furniture Brands International has hired Lisa Hanly as senior brand manager, a new position with the company.

She comes to the company from Brown Shoe Co., where she was marketing director of the shoes.com division. Before that, she spent 15 years as brand director at Dr. Scholl's footwear.

At Furniture Brands she reports to Dan Markenson, director of customer marketing. She will handle building brand awareness and also will develop consumer marketing programs for Broyhill, including consumer ad campaigns and promotions and building awareness and traffic to broyhillfurniture.com.

She also will handle brand communications and public relations, and will work with the marketing team to support sales and marketing.

Broyhill's marketing and communications roles were previously handled by Kristin Hawkins, who has been named new product development stage gate manager for Broyhill, also a new position.

Hawkins has been with Broyhill for three years as assistant manager of brand communications. In her new role, she reports to Broyhill President Jeff Cook and Debbie Beers, FBI's vice president of consumer insights.

She will work to integrate marketing, sales, finance, merchandising and consumer insight inputs into Broyhill's product development strategy. She also will work with the merchandising and consumer insight teams to support the consumer testing-driven process relating to product development.
