Durham names Geikie COO

DURHAM, Ontario — Veteran manager Dave Geikie has joined solid- wood bedroom specialist Durham Furniture as chief operating officer. He succeeds Wayne Brohman.
Geikie had worked for RLG International, a Vancouver, British Columbia-based consulting firm, as a turnaround manager for eight years for a number of clients. Earlier, he with the Bank of Nova Scotia and was a board member at Performance Polymers Inc. and EPI Consulting.
At Durham, he reports to president and CEO Gord Dilworth.
“Dave has demonstrated significant results in the fields of production, warehousing, finance, accounting, maintenance, work scheduling and management and will be a significant contributor to Durham Furniture's strategy to be the leading manufacturer of solid-wood bedroom furniture in North America,” Dilworth said.
In addition to Dilworth and Geikie, Durham's senior management team also includes Ed Fritz, director of sales and marketing.
