ONTARIO, Calif. — Parker House Furniture has named Mark Parris as vice president of sales and marketing for its Parker Living leather upholstery division, a new position at the company.

The division was launched earlier this year to provide a line of leather products that complement the company's line of home entertainment, home office and occasional goods.

A 30-plus-year industry veteran, Parris most recently was president of sales for leather upholstery resource Leather Italia. Before joining Leather Italia in 2007, he was vice president of U.S. sales and marketing at Canada-based leather upholstery producer Coja.

He reports to Sam Perone, who has been promoted to senior vice president of national sales and marketing for Parker House and the Parker Living division. Perone, who previously was vice president of sales and marketing for Parker House, reports to company President Chris Lupo.

"Sam's dedication with our organization has been instrumental in our growth over the last several years," Lupo said in a statement.

"Our family started manufacturing upholstery in Los Angeles in 1946," Lupo added. "Our focus since 1991 has only been case goods. We are excited to bring over 40 years of upholstery experience back to our dealers. Mark's knowledge and expertise in leather goods will complement the quality and value offered in our case goods. We look forward to offering our dealers a complete family/living room package."
