Former NHFA exec Steve DeHaan to lead logistics association

DES PLAINES, Ill. — Steve DeHaan, longtime executive director of the former National Home Furnishings Assn., has joined the International Warehouse Logistics Assn. here as its president and CEO.
DeHaan's NHFA post was eliminated early this year when the retailer association merged with Western Home Furnishings Assn. and the Home Furnishings Independents Assn. to form the North America Home Furnishings Assn. The NAHFA is led by CEO Sharron Bradley, formerly executive director of WHFA.
With nearly 500 member companies, IWLA "promotes the growth and success of third-party logistics companies" by providing members with resources, educational and other information and professional programs, the group said in a release.
DeHaan, who replaces the retiring Joel Anderson, was with NHFA for more than 14 years, and "drove two major advocacy initiatives, strengthened NHFA membership, grew attendance at the association convention and successfully led the board and staff through three strategic plans," the release said.
