PICO RIVERA, Calif. — Full line furniture resource AICO has partnered with American West Logistics to provide furniture to Oklahoma City tornado victims.
AICO donated a truckload of furniture and American West shipped it free of charge to Oklahoma City. The First Baptist Church of Oklahoma City and the Furniture Bank of Oklahoma City coordinated the effort to provide the furniture to area families affected by the disaster, which occurred May 31.

"It is refreshing to work with companies like AICO and American West that offer help to those in crisis," said Tom Ogburn, senior pastor of First Baptist Church and coordinator of the relief effort. "Now that the dust is settling and people are beginning to rebuild their lives, basics like a bed or dining table become true luxuries that help give these families hope for a brighter future."
AICO officials said they were pleased to be of help in the relief effort.
"We are touched by the work Tom and his team have done here, and proud to be associated with such a fine organization," said Chuck Reilly, senior vice president of sales and marketing at AICO. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families impacted by these terrible storms, and we are humbled by their tenacity as they begin to rebuild their lives."
Joshua Brown, CEO of American West added, "We are honored and privileged to partner with AICO and help in providing furniture to our brothers and sisters in Oklahoma."
