Moyer returns to president post at Balta U.S.

Dalton, Ga. – Area rug industry veteran Patrick Moyer is returning to his former post as president at Balta U.S. after a three-year absence.
Moyer was most recently at Calhoun, Ga.-based family-owned-and-operated Brumlow Home, where he served at the accent and bath rug company’s president since August 2006.
Prior to that, Moyer was Balta U.S.’s president from April 2002 to August 2006.
He began his new stint at Balta on August 10, and he reports to Marc Dessein, president of the Balta Rugs division in Belgium.
Moyer told HTT he decided to come back to Balta U.S. because of new product and business developments in the works – many of them launching in September during the New York Home Fashions market.
“I loved my time at Brumlow and really enjoyed the opportunities they gave me there,” he said. “But Balta has many exciting new things going on now.”
These include a broadening of the company’s indoor/outdoor flat-woven rug line with new construction quality levels and price points, and the expansion of the company’s Softline collection of polypropylene woven rugs with new price point offerings.
Balta U.S.’ president post was not filled while Moyer was away. But parent company Balta Group, based in Belgium, appointed Dimitri Verhoye as vp of sales and marketing for the U.S. division and assigned him to some of Moyer’s former duties.
Verhoye remains here but will be relocated back to Belgium to his former duties in the coming weeks.
