Martin joins Broyhill in manufacturing, supply chain role

Curtis, Jetton, Cummings named to sales posts

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, October 2, 2006

LENOIR, N.C. — Broyhill Furniture has named Jimmy Martin senior vice president for wood manufacturing and supply chain management.

Martin had held a similar position with Lane Furniture Inds., a sister company to Broyhill within Furniture Brands International.

“I am very pleased that Jimmy Martin is joining Broyhill to head up our wood manufacturing and supply-chain-management functions,” said Tom Foy, FBI president and chief operating officer. “Jimmy has 33 years of manufacturing experience and will be a tremendous asset to Broyhill in this crucial role.”

Foy, who has been overseeing Lane since Randy Spak resigned as president in July 2005, is familiar with Martin’s work.

Another Lane veteran also switching teams is Ken Curtis, who has 25 years of sales management experience and has been named sales manager for Broyhill’s newly created Midwest region. He reports to Dave Pinamonti, vice president of sales.

Also reporting to Pinamonti is David Jetton, who has been promoted to vice president of strategic accounts to work with large national accounts. Jetton joined Broyhill in 1973 and most recently was responsible for the Eastern Region’s dedicated distribution.

Chuck Cummings will replace Jetton in the dedicated distribution program as director of gallery sales in the East. Cummings will work with gallery dealers to optimize their Broyhill programs and will develop new galleries in the region. Cummings joined Broyhill in 1992 and managed the Broyhill Furniture Center program for years before becoming a sales representative. He will report to Mark Summerour, vice president of dedicated distribution.
