Angus moves to Carter Furniture

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, October 17, 2006

Carol Angus has been named vice president of sales and marketing for upscale contemporary upholstery specialist Carter Furniture.

She replaces Bruce Hirschhaut, who has left the company to pursue other options.

Previously, Angus owned contemporary stores in Michigan, was a sales rep for various contemporary manufacturers in southern California, and was vice president of sales for Preview Upholstery. Her most recent position was as president of Studio 99, an occasional, dining and framed art company.

"We are most excited to have Carol as part of the team. She brings with her a wealth of experience in retail, wholesale and manufacturing," said President Bill Ward.

"Contemporary is the fas-test-growing design category in the furniture industry at this time," he added. "Carter is well positioned to take advantage of this situation and we are anticipating Carol's help in growing our business to its full potential. We are looking forward to a strong market now that we have a complete and energized team."
