HIGH POINT — Lexington Home Brands has hired Erin Tsucalas as product merchandising manager, with responsibility for creative direction and styling in the company's upholstery division.
She will report to Jim Telleysh, vice president and general manager of the full-line manufacturer's upholstery operations, and will be based at the Lexington upholstery complex in Hildebran, N.C.
She replaces Amy Huff, who recently left Lexington to join upholstery manufacturer Wesley Hall as marketing and media director.
Tsucalas most recently was operating director of merchandising at Ethan Allen. Earlier, she held senior design and styling posts at The Robert Allen Group and Kravet Fabrics. She has 18 years of experience in fabric design, color and trend direction, according to Lexington.
Officials said that in addition to overseeing upholstery, Tsucalas will work with the company's product development to ensure continuity in the design of lifestyle collections, where upholstery has become an increasingly important component.
"In an industry where fresh styling and innovative product design remain key points of differentiation at retail, we are delighted to have someone with Erin's proven experience as a member of our management team," said Phil Haney, president and CEO of Lexington Home Brands.
"Her ability to draw inspiration from style, fashion, color and consumer trends will significantly enhance the product development process across each of our brand platforms, including our new Tommy Bahama Outdoor Living brand. Further, Erin has a keen understanding of the importance of retail execution from her prior experience which will serve our dealers well."
