Innovative Mattress Solutions
CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Tom Cass has rejoined Southeastern bedding retailer Innovative Mattress Solutions as executive vice president of sales and operations.
Cass, who formerly worked at Verlo Mattress, rejoins growing IMS, which operates almost 150 Sleep Outfitters, Mattress Warehouse and Mattress King sleep shops in six states, in a newly created position.
"We are thrilled to have Tom lead our sales efforts as we continue to expand in other regions," said Kim Brown Knopf, CEO of IMS.

MARTINSVILLE, Va. - Hooker Furniture has promoted Erica Wingo from senior product manager to merchandising director.
Wingo has been with the company since 2007 and has worked in various departments including customer service and marketing communications. She moved into the merchandising role full time in 2010 and has been involved in product development in bedroom and whole home collections, including the company's popular Rhapsody collection.
She also has worked with merchandising director Cindy Hall in developing the company's Melange accents collection. The line has been expanded to also include both bedroom and dining room.

Contemporary Design Group
SAN DIEGO - Alicia Mendez has joined the Contemporary Design Group buying group here as its executive director.
She is taking over for Sandie Garrett, who helped lead the organization for the past 27 years and will be leaving to pursue other interests, the group said in a release.
Mendez, who is working at the San Diegobased organization 's headquarters, has a strong background in marketing and creating business relationships, the group said.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Home accents source Stein World has promoted Donnie Lesley to vice president of merchandising and marketing.
Lesley joined Stein World in 2012 as director of merchandising and will now also be responsible for marketing initiatives. He will continue to report to Steve Kosmalski, president and CEO.
"His work developing and delivering consumer-driven looks - while expanding and improving our sourcing - has resulted in measurable growth. We are pleased to recognize his contributions with this well-deserved promotion," Kosmalski said in a press release.
Before joining Stein World, Lesley was market director for imports at Lane Furniture and a retail consultant with Bassett stores.
CULVER CITY, Calif. - Michael Papadakis has joined Powell Furniture as vice president of sales for the West region, the company announced.
Papadakis has nearly 25 years of experience in the industry and spent the past four years with Rowe Furniture. At Powell, he reports to President Jeff Wallner.
"We are glad to have Mike join us and help take Powell to the next level," said Wallner.
Papadakis replaces Gary Glick, who recently left the company.
NEW YORK - Curations Limited, a full-line importer of vintage case goods and upholstery, has hired Jay Jerome for the newly created position as vice president of sales and marketing.
Jerome was most recently with Calvin Klein Furniture, where he held the same position for the past two years. He has worked in the furniture industry for more than 20 years, on the retail side as well as wholesale.

JESSUP, Md. - Classic Brands, a manufacturer of specialty foam mattress and sleep accessories, has hired Matthew Hervey as sales representative for the central U.S.
Hervey, who will report to Justin Gannon, vice president of sales, was most recently a senior territory manager for Sealy covering Illinois and northern Indiana. Earlier, he was director of sales and new business development for Vulcan Golf.
"His experience in the industry and his strength in sales training and relationship building will serve us well in expanding Classic's presence in the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Iowa and Missouri," said Gannon.
