Next Generation-Now's online Huddle to focus on bedding galleries

LAS VEGAS — Next Generation-Now has scheduled its next NGN Huddle online presentation for Wednesday, Feb. 27, and will focus on creating a successful bedding gallery.
The Huddle will start at noon Pacific time. To attend, visit the NGN Social Hub on www.ngnow.org and start watching. Attendees will be able to send questions to the panelist via the site.
The group also reported good attendance and good comments about its activities during the recent Las Vegas Market, focusing on providing the next generation of the industry education and networking opportunities.
Early on the market's opening day, the group gathered in the Retailer Resource Center for hot waffles before hearing a panel discussion on operating a business with multiple generations. Panelists from Royal Furniture and Ivan Smith Furniture shared their ideas and experiences.
NGN also hosted a market Bash in the One-six Club, sponsored by Coaster, that drew 28% more people than the summer market event.
"The NGN Bash was a huge hit, with many new faces showing up. Our goals for the event were to network, be social and have fun - and we accomplished all three. It was the best Bash yet," said NGN Events Chair Sara Wedding, FurnitureDealer.net. She thanked Coaster and also Ashley Furniture, which gave away a trip to the 2013 Home Furnishings Industry Conference, set for June 2-4 in New Orleans.
Next Generation-NOW raffled off the trip to the HFIC and the winner was NGN member Matthew Rosso of Rosso's Furniture in Gilroy, Calif.
"It isn't often that retailers, especially the next generation of retailers, get a chance to convene and network with each other. I am very excited to attend the HFIC and have the opportunity to network and learn from my peers," said Rosso.
Next Generation-Now's advisory committee, meanwhile, has created additional committees to get more members participating. Anyone interested in joining can learn more at www.ngnow.org.
