Badcock promotes Walsh, Chase

Mulberry, Fla. — W.S. Badcock here has promoted Lori Walsh to vice president of human resources and Mark Chase to vice president of bedding.

Walsh joined the retailer in 1999 as a human resources project manager and became director of human resources in June 2003. She was named Human Resources Professional of the Year in 2004 by the Mid-Florida Society of Human Resources Management.

Chase joined Badcock as a category manager about a year ago and according to the company, has exceeded expectations of sales growth, increased visibility and generated margin for the bedding division. A strategy developed and implemented by Chase has led to 16% sales growth in the category, Badcock said.

A 16-year industry veteran, Chase previously was vice president of sales for Serta and also was director of business development for Barber Mfg.
