Dormeo Octaspring adds bedding veterans Jon Stowe, Steve Dohm

DALLAS — Dormeo Octaspring, a European mattress brand entering the U.S. market, has added two bedding veterans to its management team.

Jon Stowe, a 25-year veteran of the bedding industry, has been named vice president of retail operations. Steve Dohm joins the company as vice president of sales.

Stowe previously worked for Kingsdown and in bedding retail. At Dormeo he will oversee retail and sales operations for North America, reporting to Chris Henning, recently named president of Dormeo's North American operations.

"I'm excited about joining Dormeo Octaspring, working with a world-class team of professionals, and selling an innovative product with direct marketing to the consumer," Stowe said.

Dohm's career included stints at Sealy, Simmons and Kingsdown. In his new role, he will be responsible for generating sales with a focus on brand development.

"I am really thrilled to have joined Dormeo Octaspring," Dohm said. "This is due to the particular point of differentiation we can provide to retailers with this product. The global presence of our company provides a fresh and innovative approach to the market and will enable us to help our retailers produce greater results."

"Bringing these two top professionals on board is another significant step as we continue to build the Octaspring brand in the U.S.," Henning said. "It's a testament to the company's global ambitions, unique product offering and multichannel advertising plans that they both joined so readily and with such enthusiasm."

Dormeo Octaspring produces mattresses fashioned from individual memory foam springs. Octaspring is a patented technology manufactured in Belgium.
