     Launched this winter, Capel Rugs' Chenille Creations Collection is a custom-made rug program that lets customers choose a base, accent and border from a selection of color combinations. Customers also choose the shape and size. The braided collection is hand-crafted in the U.S. from strands of plush, all-natural, cotton chenille. The rugs are reversible.

     Hand-woven in India, the Anzio collection is an all-wool flat weave construction presenting a transitional look updated with fringe on two ends. Available in apple, aqua, pink, denim, charcoal, moss, purple and blue.
     The Santana collection presents a modern interpretation of traditional kilim construction rugs. The wool flat weave rugs come in fashion-forward patterns with transitional and modern appeal. Features fringed ends.
     Hand-tufted of wool in India, the Milano collection presents textural ikat designs complemented with a palette of enlivening colors from up-to-date brights to tonal neutrals.
     The colorful, lively Jubilee collection adds diversity with jagged shapes in accordance with their modern design. The collection is constructed in India of hand-sewn felted New Zealand wool.

     Stalks of bamboo are interlaced to form a screen pattern hand-knotted in wool and art silk in the Bamboo Lattice collection. The collection features a plush hand characteristic of Tibetan knotted pieces, which is then enhanced with a special wash for a softer pile.
     The Ouray collection presents traditional styling in a traditional construction. Hand-knotted in India with a pure, hand-spun silk pile, the collection features pale color palettes and shorn piles.
     Feizy presents the Tesoro Collections - I, II and III - each hand-knotted of different materials. Tesoro II uses wool and bamboo silk in a closely shorn pile to present classic damask patterns in fresh new colors.
     Power-loomed in Turkey with a polypropylene pile, the Rivington collection presents cost-effective, inspired transitional and updated traditional designs.
     Each piece of the Starnes Collection features blues ranging from midnight to sky, paired with spa tones like beige, ivory and brown. The collection is power loomed in Turkey with a polypropylene pile.

     Woven of New Zealand wool in the U.S. on Axminster looms, the Sharpura collection draws inspiration from hand-knotted Peshawar rugs. Karastan adds two new styles to the Shapura collection: Arabella and Pandora. The traditional Arabella features a Persian ornament-inspired border surrounding an elaborate central rosette. Pandora celebrates folk design influences with minimalist floral design.
     The English Manor collection captures British country living in wool rugs woven on Van de Wiele looms in the U.S. Karastan adds four styles this market: Chesterfield Beige and Red; Preston Beige and Red; Leicester; and Telford. The additions span a range of like-minded designs and constructions in a muted color palette that consistently uses light blue and navy for accents.
     Karastan debuts the new Bellingham collection at market. All 24 designs in the collection are woven in the U.S. on Wilton looms of space-dyed wool. Among the introductions are the damask patterned Devan Mocha; the Persian medallion designs enclosed by border of Farragut; the ornamental panel design of Bancroft, which has tendrils of foliage crossing it; and Ferndale's ikat design.

     Hand-hooked in China of 70% PET and 30% acrylic, the Fantasy collection includes high-density, hand-hooked rugs, hand-carved for additional texture in transitional designs. A 6-by-9 retails for $299.
     The Moda collection presents ultramodern designs in rich contemporary colors. The collection is hand tufted in China of 80% New Zealand wool and 20% viscose for texture. A 6-by-9 retails for $899.
     Bold monochromatic patterns are in the Graphic Illusions collection, which features hand-carved, high low texture and a contemporary color palette. Pieces are power-loomed of equal part polypropylene and acrylic. A 6-by-9 retails for $299.
     The ultramodern Utopia collection features geometric designs in muted hues of gray and black. The collection is machine-made of equal parts polyacrylic and acrylic. A 6-by-9 retails for $299.
     Debuting at market will be the licensed Barclay Butera Oxford collection for Nourison. The collection interprets Butera's designs aesthetic in rug form using well-defined stripes. A 5-foot-3 by 7-foot-5 retails at $399.

     The Bentley collection is hand-tufted from a New Zealand wool blend in India and features paisley and floral designs in transitional styles. A 5-by-8 retails at $599.

MS 117, 120, 121
     The new Jardin collection presents big dramatic floral patterns in vibrant colors to create a statement rug. Each design is hand-tufted of wool in India with a looped-hook texture. A 6-by-9 retails at $400.
     Safavieh has expanded its Vintage collection with five new colors and patterns to debut at High Point. The collection plays to the over-dyeing and recycling old rugs trend, achieving the look with art silk power-loomed in Belgium. The rugs feature a low-cut pile and are deliberately dyed unevenly to add an antiqued look. A 5-foot-3 by 7-foot-6 retails at $315.
     Hand-knotted of a blend of natural hemp and wool yarns, the new Tangier collection includes six designs in a classic Moroccan weave. Featured patterns interpret Moorish architecture, rug fibers are typically un-dyed and fringed ends add Old World character to the pieces. A 5-by-8 retails at $880.
     The latest Jamie Drake collection offers Drake's upscale design quality in a lower cost product than his collection with Safavieh Couture. Power-loomed of organic viscose yarn, the new collection uses bold, brilliant colors. A 5-by-8 retails at $199.
     The Moroccan collection is inspired by the traditional rugs of the Beni Ouarain tribes in Morocco's Atlas mountain region. Hand-knotted of wool in India, the rugs are natural-toned and shaggy. A 5-by-8 retails for $1,040.

     Machine-woven in the U.S. of Shaw's EverTouch nylon, the Mirabella collection features globally inspired transitional designs.

     The Harlequin collection features modern designs in a range of rich colors. Hand-tufted of wool in India, Harlequin collection rugs retail at $620 for a 5-by-8.
     Cambridge is Surya's most luxurious and refined collection, according to the company. Hand-knotted in India of 100% wool, the collection presents traditional design with fringed ends. A 5-foot-6 by 8-foot-6 rug retails at $2,985.
     The flat-weave, reversible Frontier collection features fashionable patterned designs, which depending on the palette may look either tribal or haberdashery handsome. The collection is hand-woven in India of wool and retails at $265 for a 5-by-8.

Key trends
► ON THE FRINGE: Fringed ends start their Cinderella story comeback, returning in traditional as well as transitional styles.
► FULL SPECTRUM: Expect to see a rainbow of color in the rug sector this High Point Market. Neutrals haven't disappeared, but bold, bright shades are gaining ground.
