Carpet One fights cancer with new rug

Manchester, N.H. — Carpet One Floor & Home stores will raise funds for the fight against breast cancer with a new fall collection of pink-ribbon welcome mats, to be sold during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The series of nine welcome mat designs will retail for about $22, and 25% of sales will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

This is the third year Carpet One stores have supported breast cancer awareness through the sale of welcome mats. The stores have raised nearly $400,000 for the cause.

"Breast cancer awareness is a cause that is important to our consumers, employees, families and friends," said Evan Hackel, president of Carpet One Floor & Home. "We are proud to support such a worthy cause and to be partnering with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Carpet One stores are truly dedicated to their local communities and we are all looking forward to another successful campaign this fall."
