Organic fabric at East India
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, November 26, 2006
High Point — Upscale fabric supplier East India Company USA will introduce hand-embroidered organic fabrics with design concepts by textile designer Anne Hahn at Showtime here Dec. 3–6.
President Rafiq Kathwari said Hahn, who was formerly a senior textile designer for upscale jobber lines Kravet and Lee Jofa, "is part of our team as a freelancer" to help advance his company's goal "to synergize the ancient textile arts of the East with evolving global motifs."
Kathwari said he is committed to creating original patterns and using organic fabrics at fair prices while ensuring fair trade. "The journey to create hand-embroidered fabrics from design to delivery is an art form," he said.
East India's Showtime space is in Suites at Market Square, booth 1-1248.
