Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, November 9, 2009
HIGH POINT - Cathy Brewer Hinson, manager of the Union Square furniture showroom building here, plans to run for Congress to challenge Rep. Howard Coble in the Republican primary next year, according to the Greensboro News & Record. The newspaper reported that Hinson is making her first bid for public office. The filing period is Feb. 8-26 and the primary is May 4.
"I am announcing early for name recognition purposes," Hinson told the paper. "I have the education and business experience to qualify me to be a representative. We are experiencing a two-tier system - the ‘elitist' attitude of the majority of Congress, and the people of the United States."

About time someone took on this fossil. We need new Conservative leadership. All incumbents are in trouble.

please tell me what howard coble has done. our industries have been destroyed during his watch.really list me his acomplishments that have benefited the business sector in HIS district. I am republican .
i am happy to hear any new voice. things can not continue as they are .you have no idea what her idea's or views are nor do i . it is that knee jerk old school garbage that has gotten us into this mess. many said the same thing when reagan started and lost his first campaign . change is coming again and the next time maybe for the better.

So she is for Obama, Pelosi and Reid I take it. Talk about elitists...
Howard Coble has done an exemplaray job as our congressman in Greensboro. The last thing ANY industry needs is another vote to squelch business and employment which is now over 11% in NC.
