Parris joins Parker House as VP
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, November 9, 2009
Ontario, Calif. — Parker House Furniture has named Mark Parris vice president of sales and marketing for its Parker Living leather upholstery division, a new position at the company.
The division was launched earlier this year to offer products that complement the company's line of home entertainment, home office and occasional goods.
A 30-plus-year industry veteran, Parris most recently was president of sales for leather upholstery resource Leather Italia, which he joined in 2007. Earlier, he was vice president of U.S. sales and marketing for Canada-based leather upholstery producer Coja.
Parris reports to Sam Perone, who has been promoted to senior vice president of national sales and marketing for Parker House and the Parker Living division. He was previously vice president of sales and marketing for Parker House, and continues to report to Parker House President Chris Lupo.
Lupo said in a statement that his family started making upholstery in Los Angeles in 1946, although before adding the new leather division, Parker House had focused only on case goods since 1991.
"Mark's knowledge and expertise in leather goods will complement the quality and value offered in our case goods," said Lupo. "We look forward to offering our dealers a complete family/living room package."
