La-Z-Boy makes Web site more inviting for consumers

Offers more information, design tools, better navigation

Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, November 16, 2009

MONROE, Mich. — La-Z-Boy says it has revamped its online presence to provide a "go to" shopping destination for consumers.

The redesigned Web site offers faster consumer interaction, more photos, easy-to-understand product information and enhanced design tools for consumers who want to create their perfect room, the company said.

"Furniture shoppers go online because they want detailed helpful information at their fingertips," said Doug Collier, chief marketing officer for La-Z-Boy. "Our new site design will provide visitors with a faster, easier and more enjoyable experience. It offers everything they need while shopping for furniture."

That includes making www.La-Z-Boy.com easier to navigate, and to filter products by style, function, cover, online availability or price. Users can also see upholstery with every available cover for online customization. The site also refers them to the nearest dealers.

"We've increased our focus on driving customers into stores and made the ‘clicks to bricks' transition easier for them," said Collier. "Comfort is our number one priority for our future, and we want our Web site to be comfortable as well."
