HYANNIS, Mass. — The former owner of Sid's Discount Furniture here pleaded guilty to failing to pay taxes and is getting probation, according to the Cape Cod Times.
Abbott Davidson pleaded guilty in Suffolk Superior Court to charges, originally brought late last year, that he failed to pay $245,000 in taxes over a two-year period. Davidson received a one-year suspended jail term and 10 years probation, during which time he is expected to make payments against the tax liability.
