Berkline promotes Smith to senior vice president of corporate sales, marketing

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, December 17, 2006

Major upholstery maker and importer Berkline/BenchCraft has promoted Larry Smith to the newly created post of senior vice president of corporate sales, marketing and merchandising.

Smith, who has been with the company since 1989, will oversee all sales, marketing and merchandising for the Berkline and BenchCraft divisions. He had been senior vice president for corporate marketing and merchandising since 2003.

"The addition of the sales force to Larry's responsibilities completes the functional integration that will align all facets of our sales and marketing efforts to better satisfy our customers' requirements," said Dal Eckard, executive vice president of sales and marketing.

Berkline/BenchCraft markets stationary and motion upholstery and imported occasional tables.
