Rowe auction date still Jan. 18, company says
Bankruptcy court could receive upset bids from Sun Capital’s $30 million offer
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, January 3, 2007
McLEAN, Va. — A bankruptcy court auction for manufacturer Rowe is still set for Jan. 18, according to the company. An earlier Furniture/Today story gave an incorrect date.
The auction, supervised by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Alexandria, Va., would allow bids for assets of Rowe, which filed for Chapter 11 reorganization last year.
An affiliate of investment fund Sun Capital Partners already has submitted a $30 million offer, and unless the court receives bids that exceed the Sun Capital bid, the sale is expected to be approved.
