Kennedy resigns as TCHFM manager
Michael J. Knell -- Furniture Today, August 12, 2013
MONTREAL — Bianca Kennedy will resign as show manager of the Canadian Home Furnishings Market (TCHFM) effective Sept. 13 to pursue a new opportunity in the event management industry.
"To those of you that I had the pleasure of working with directly on TCHFM, it's been a truly rewarding and wonderful experience. I will always value the bonds, relationships and connections that we built together over the last two years," Kennedy said in a letter to exhibitors announcing her resignation.
André Bergeron, who served as show manager for 22 years prior to his retirement and Kennedy's appointment in June 2011, will serve in the post at least through to the staging of the 2014 edition of TCHFM.
"His well-tailored industry knowledge and previous background with the organization make him a natural fit to assume this role," Kennedy said.
Owned and operated by the Quebec Furniture Manufacturers Association, the 2014 TCHFM will be held at Toronto's International Centre Jan. 11 to 14.
