Meadows leaves Shaw Living
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, December 31, 2006
Dalton, Ga. — Jeff Meadows, vice president of Shaw Living, has left the rug resource. The company said Jeff Brown, director of operations, has assumed his duties on an interim basis.
Meadows had been head of the rug division of Shaw Inds. since 2000. Under his leadership, the division broadened its product range to include bath and kitchen rugs as well as room-size and accent rugs. In the past two years, the company has moved aggressively into home textiles.
The company also deepened its commitment to the Kathy Ireland Home licensing program, and added such new licensees as Tommy Bahama, Mary-Kate and Ashley, and Jack Nicklaus.
Meadows said he would make his plans known later.
He was a member of Shaw's first team of college recruits in the late 1970s. Before he was named head of its rug operations, he was a sales and marketing executive in Shaw's broadloom division and in its retail operations.
