Zocalo opens gallery in Schneiderman's store
Features six best-selling collections

PLYMOUTH, Minn. -- Importer Zocalo has opened a Zocalo Living in-store gallery at Schneiderman’s Furniture here.
The 4,000-square-foot space is Zocalo's sixth gallery and features six best-selling collections.
Schneiderman’s also has devoted floor space to Zocalo’s teen brand, Z Generation, including the top-selling Fuze Box and Ariel lines.
Store buyer Susan Strong and store display and design manager Chad VanKekerix oversaw the gallery installation.
"The Zocalo gallery area is very different from the rest of the store," Strong said.
"It’s nice to pull everything together in one area, but still have lots of different looks within that environment," she said.
One strong group is the Arts & Crafts-style Hampton Library, Strong said, adding, "Sales are also up with the Echo collection, especially in dining, because the bamboo is very unique. There’s nothing out there like it."
Strong added that the youth lines have distinctive styles that appeal to the tween and teen crowd by avoiding overly "cutesy" looks.
The new gallery features nearly half of Zocalo’s collections, including its Metropolitan Leather upholstery.
