High Point — Fabric source Craftex Mills unveiled at last month's Showtime fabric show here a new division of luxury leather source Townsend Leather. Called Townsend Home, the division offers leathers designed to coordinate with Craftex fabrics.
Townsend Home showed six aniline-dyed leathers at the winter fabric fair.
Denise Gutierrez, Craftex director of merchandising, said, "The collaboration gives buyers a cost-effective source for purchasing fabrics and leather specifically created to work together in color and pattern."
The Craftex patterns include paisleys, damasks and scrolls, as well as a line of suede fabrics and brushed metallic constructions correlated with the double hand-rubbed European hides that are Townsend's specialty.
