DOC to do more reviews
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, January 7, 2007
Washington — Interested parties have until the end of this month to request a new administrative review of imports of Chinese-made wood bedroom furniture that took place during 2006.
The U.S. Department of Commerce announced this week that it will consider performing a review of wood bedroom furniture imported last year. The audit will determine the level of import antidumping duties to be paid on Chinese-made wood bedroom furniture entering the United States.
The review is similar to a current review of Chinese bedroom manufacturers that exported wood bedroom furniture to the United States between June 24, 2004 and Dec. 31, 2005. Preliminary results of that audit are expected at the end of this month.
For more information, interested parties can contact Sheila Forbes of the DOC at (202) 482-4697.
