Shuford Mills warranties on Outdura fabric are extended

Hudson, N.C. — Performance textile company Shuford Mills has extended the warranties on all three of its Outdura products, including the type used by the furniture industry.
The warranty on eight-ounce furniture-weight Outdura has been increased from three years to five years, while the warranties on 9.25-ounce marine- and awning-weight Outdura and on 12.5-ounce Outdura Trio have been boosted from five years to six years.
"In part, the success of Outdura may be credited to the Dolan solution-dyed acrylic fiber used in the product," said Jeff Jimison, vice president of sales for Shuford Mills. "Our tests show that Outdura furniture-weight fabrics in solid colors and canvas stripes now exceed the 30,000 double rubs of abrasion required by the hospitality and contract markets. Outdura also offers unprecedented protection from the sun, with a UV Protection Factor of 50+."
Furniture-weight Outdura is used primarily for upholstery and cushions, often in situations where a fabric needs to stand up to weather, children and pets.
