High Point — Several people have been promoted and three staff members have joined the International Home Furnishings Center in a restructuring of the showroom complex's executive team.
President and CEO Tom Lindh said, "The restructuring puts our talented, experienced executives in the best position to work on behalf of our exhibitors, the High Point Market and the broader industry."
With 3.5 million square feet, the IHFC accounts for nearly a third of the High Point Market's 11.5 million square feet of showroom space and houses 650 home furnishings resources.
The reorganized executive team consists of:
-
Tom Loney, executive vice president-leasing. He has been with the IHFC since 1984 and had been a vice president.
-
Martha Stewart, vice president-accessory leasing. She has been with the company since 1980, and continues to work with accessory tenants and prospective exhibitors.
-
Carroll Springer, vice president-sales. She will direct the sales team and manage advertising sales for the IHFC's five market publications — Furniture Preview, Accessory Preview, Designer Preview, Market Resource Guide and Pocket Directory. Springer is a 27-year IHFC veteran and most recently was director of Interhall leasing.
-
Lee Kemp, vice president-creative. She will manage production and public relations, as well as editorial, photography and printing services, related to the publications. She has been with the IHFC since 1989.
-
Gaye Outlaw, co-director-Interhall leasing. She will work with Springer in leasing the temporary space on the first floor of the IHFC's Hamilton wing, and continues as a sales executive and coordinator of educational seminars. She joined the IHFC in 1986.
-
Kelly Quillen, vice president-operations. Quillen, who has been with the building since 1999, will be responsible for all aspects of operations.
The three members added to the marketing staff are Allison Akes, Brittany Vance and Jenny Ragsdale. Akes had been with Showplace, another High Point showroom building, where she was responsible for marketing. Vance previously worked in product development for importer Magnussen Home Furnishings. Ragsdale had been an account executive in the women's apparel industry.
