High Point — In honor of her late husband, pioneering furniture designer Tom Keller, Rosemary Keller has established two academic scholarships at High Point University.
"It's a privilege to offer these scholarships in honor of my late husband, who was a scholarship recipient many years ago," she said.
Tom Keller, who died in September at age 70, was a freelance designer whose High Point firm, H. Thomas Keller & Associates, worked with a number of furniture manufacturers, including Henredon and Bernhardt. He was among the first to embrace computer-aided technology in creating and designing furniture.
"High Point University is extremely grateful to the Keller family for their generosity and love of our academy," said HPU President Nido Qubein. "We are thrilled to be able to attract top academic students from all over the world and award the very best our top award, the prestigious Keller Scholarship."
