Barnhardt gets Chromcraft Revington mktg. services post

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, January 21, 2007

Manufacturer and importer Chromcraft Revington has named Boyd Barnhardt director of marketing services, a new position.

He most recently held the same post at manufacturer Broyhill, where he worked for 11 years. At Broyhill, he developed marketing programs, ran the in-house advertising agency, oversaw Web site development and media planning and buying, as well as art direction, production and market research.

In his new role, he reports to David Corbin, senior vice president. He will be responsible for developing and managing retail programs and also coordinate marketing support for the Chromcraft Revington companies, which include Chromcraft, Peters-Revington, Silver Furniture, Cochrane Furniture and Sumter Furniture.

"His experience in furniture and his background in both business management and marketing will help us leverage the strengths of the company, particularly as we shift our focus to be more market driven and responsive to both consumers and customers," Corbin said.

In a related move, the company has hired Greensboro, N.C.-based Quixote Group as its public relations agency. Quixote has worked with such furniture clients as Pulaski, Henredon, Natuzzi and Hurtado.
