Las Vegas — To celebrate the debut of its new 16-story Building B, the World Market Center plans a grand opening party featuring entertainers such as the Blue Man Group, the popular Las Vegas headliners who combine comedy, music and multi-media artistry.
The B is for Bravo gala is set for 5:30 to 8 p.m. on market's opening night, Monday, Jan. 29, in buildings A and B and the connecting courtyard. Three stages will feature entertainment by Las Vegas stars, broadcast live on plasma TV screens on every floor in both buildings.
Food and beverages will be provided by some of the city's top restaurants.
The festivities begin with a pyrotechnic ribbon-cutting ceremony in the courtyard. Blue Man Group will kick off the entertainment, followed by singer Clint Holmes, impersonators of legendary Vegas entertainers The Rat Pack, and Diavolo, an artistic and athletic performance troupe the WMC says will "push the bounds of the human body."
"We're planning a true Las Vegas-style party that boldly celebrates the grand opening of our second building," said Harvey Dondero, CEO of the WMC.
Guests can wine and dine throughout Building B's 16 floors and Building A's atrium.
"We are highlighting different food and beverage destinations on each floor to encourage attendees to explore the new building," Dondero said.
The WMC also will host a carnival party to celebrate the opening of the temporary exhibits at Cashman Center from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30. Samba rhythms, Brazilian cuisine and costumed dancers will be featured.
The market takes place Jan. 29 to Feb. 2 at the WMC and the Pavilions tents, and Jan. 30–Feb. 2 at Cashman Center.
