Decorize 2Q sales skyrocket 180%; operating profit seen
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, January 14, 2007
Springfield, Mo. — Decorize Inc., a decorative accessories provider that has a number of furniture industry clients, said sales in its second quarter rose about 180% to $4.5 million from $1.6 million a year earlier.
The company attributed the big gain to new strategic partnerships with its customers. It said it expects to announce its first quarterly operating profit for the October-through-December period when it reports complete results in early February.
"Customers have discovered that we can design and source multiple categories of exclusive home accent products," said CEO Steve Crowder. "This capability allows the retailer to focus their attention and resources on the consumer and not worry about supply chain issues related to overseas production."
Decorize said it has served more than 3,000 accounts, including Broyhill Furniture Inds., The Bombay Company, Home Depot, Stein Mart, Federated Department Stores and Rooms To Go.
