Glen Raven Custom Fabrics
Glen Raven, N.C. — Vince Hankins has been named director of new business development for Glen Raven Custom Fabrics, the maker of Sunbrella performance fabrics.
In the newly created position, he will be responsible for the identification and development of new product and market opportunities. Hankins, who previously worked for Glen Raven's yarn group, reports to Harry Gobble, director of marketing.
Hankins has been in the textile industry for more than 19 years and previously was with yarn supplier Unifi as sales manager for its nylon business.

Raffel Comfort Sciences
Cedarburg, Wis. — Michael Schuster has joined sleep, massage and comfort product specialist Raffel Comfort Sciences as vice president of sales for consumer products, a new position.
Raffel sells consumer products under the Tranquil Ease brand, and Schuster's hiring is the first in Raffel's sales strategy to grow its consumer division.
The company, an OEM supplier of massage components for more than 35 years, launched a consumer unit last summer for its furniture and non-furniture product offerings, said President John Howman.
Schuster, whose background is in consumer products, including wall décor, reports to Howman.
Raffel exhibits in Tupelo, Las Vegas and High Point.
W. Schillig USA
High Point — J.T. O'Rourke has joined custom leather upholstery specialist W. Schillig USA as regional sales manager.
O'Rourke, with 20 years experience in the furniture industry, was with West Coast-based contemporary metal manufacturer Elite Mfg.
At Schillig, he is responsible for sales in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama. O'Rourke also will travel with the sales team to work with key accounts, maintain merchandising programs and assist with sales training.
He reports to David Stewart, national sales manager of W. Schillig USA.
