WMC offers services to sales reps

Las Vegas — Sales representatives, often the first to arrive and the last to leave a market, have some new features at the World Market Center here.
The WMC held a Rep Appreciation Day on Sunday, the day before the market's official opening, serving food and beverages in the Building A fountain foyer.
"Rep Appreciation Day is our way of rolling out the red carpet to the rep community, who are really the unsung heroes of market," said Harvey Dondero, CEO of World Market Center.
The show organizers also ran shuttles the weekend before market to and from hotels and the World Market Center, for the convenience of reps attending premarket meetings. The shuttles, now called the M Line, also offer service to the Monte Carlo, a designated hotel for the International Home Furnishings Representatives Assn.
IHFRA staff also have new office space provided by the WMC, on the 16th floor of new Building B, to help the association serve its members.
Kathy Parks, IHFRA's executive director, said the Rep Appreciation Day and the new office underline the vital role reps play at market, and the World Market Center's commitment to them.
