Roth launches consulting firm to work with stores on product, sourcing
Former Universal, Somerton exec aims to develop private labels for large and small dealers

LAS VEGAS — Industry veteran Ed Roth, who has worked in sales at Universal and most recently Somerton Home Furnishings, has launched a furniture consulting company that will work with retailers on product design, development and sourcing.
Roth & Associates aims to help retailers develop private-label product exclusive to their markets. It also will provide quality control and help introduce retailers to source factories in China and Vietnam.
Including Roth, the company has five employees. Roth has years of experience in sales, merchandising and product development. He said he believes the low overhead and efficiencies of his company will provide a value.
“It’s about consulting and execution,” Roth said at the Las Vegas Market. “In the long run, it would be less expensive for (retailers) than if they hired a person in their store. We’re just giving them a better way of doing it.”
He said the company will work with both Top 100 and smaller retailers. He said small dealers would be able to team up to take advantage of his company’s sourcing relationships and logistics services, allowing them to use the same factories and consolidate container shipments.
Roth can be reached at (561) 543-6433 or via e-mail at edroth@worldnet.att.net.
