Excelsior expanding IHFC showroom
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, February 4, 2007
High Point — Contemporary furniture specialist Excelsior Designs is adding 2,800 square feet to its market showroom in the International Home Furnishings Center, bringing total square footage to about 13,000.
The expanded space will display additions to the company's Nicole Miller Collection at the spring High Point Market, which starts March 26. Construction is under way at the showroom in the IHFC's Design Center wing, space D-1110.
"We are excited about the addition of our new showroom space," said President Steven Kayne. "We've expanded our presence here four times within the last five years, and we look forward to continuing that growth trend."
He added that in a time when much furniture is imported from Asia, Excelsior is proud to have stayed with Italian sourcing.
"That in itself is an anomaly in our industry today — and the fact that we need more space to showcase the beauty and quality of these Italian designs is simply testament to our heritage," he said.
To celebrate the grand opening and the debut of her new designs, Nicole Miller will join Excelsior Designs at an invitation-only party during market, on Tuesday, March 27. The market runs through Sunday, April 1.
